However, although it may have been first imagined an instrument of production, in the years since its inception live has become a favorite of DJs from around the world.
The key to its popularity among DJs is the Session View – a window and cleanly executed brilliantly designed to launch synchronized audio samples, MIDI clips and tracks. Serato has come a long way since the birth leading digital vinyl DJing more than a decade. The company may have lost its control as market leader Native Instruments over the years, but the constant development has made Serato DJ software remains the level of the best.
With the release of Serato DJ in 2013, the company finally combined the two disparate versions of its software – the Scratch Live and controller based digital vinyl focused Itch – into a single unified application.
The application has been developed very well since then, offering plug ‘n’ support games for a range of controllers, expansion packs that allow you to add software capabilities, and multiple views that can accommodate both the mixture 2 and 4 of the cover.
With the company now focused on a single product, the future looks bright for Serato, and software seems to be a big part of the landscape puncture in the coming years.
A serato years ago used it rather the DJs of hip-hop with a turntable and using the time-code function, which consistes to add a sound card supports this function, the Serato software with the same function and a DJ turntable, so you can operate the turntable and play what you do on the player
Currently serato has also focused for DJs of all styles of music, and brands like piooner and use it to their drivers
Serato DJ Intro is the free version and you can download it from their official website (registration requested)
PC / Mac, € 99 / Traktor Pro Version
More than a decade after its launch, Traktor Pro is pretty much the gold standard of digital DJ. While some rivals can do certain things better, no application can match Traktor for all aspects of flexibility and reliability.
Among its excellent Decks example, Remix Decks and Loop Recorder, high-quality effects and its impressive pace and key analysis algorithms, Traktor has almost everything you may need a modern DJ.
Native Instruments own hardware drivers – the S2 logo and S4, and X1 compact, F1 and Z1 – are some of the best around, too, which ensures that the company has a tight grip on the market today that does not show signs of giving up.
Unlike serato, traktor began to be used a lot in his audience DJs house music ,techno, up-tempo and other electronic music
Although today thanks from the version Tracktor Scracth A10 or A6 brings function timecode with your sound card, djs hip-hop also joined this software previously used to use serato and currently uses any kind of dj is their style of music which is
also it has a version for use in IPAP or iphone
It has a trial version (journaled) on its official website
The demo version is closed after 30 minutes , but then be reopened to try again .
Today both Serato as Tracktor are the most suitable for any kind of DJ and are the most professional options on the market, although at first are a bit complex to use and configure.
2 test which you like most in your free or trial versions, which make up your mind and then purchase
In Cambion, if you’re just starting out as a DJ and is just a hobby or simply do not want a complicated software to use and configure I recommend Virtual DJ 8 or even much still uses version 7 is really I used at the time
